What data we process
When you submit: your email address, what you tell us about your team, sector and stage, your deck (file or link) and the content we read from it, and the result of the analysis.
When you share a deck: when a link was opened and how long each slide was shown. If a link is protected by an email gate, also the address used to open it. People who open a deck without a gate are counted only by a value that changes daily, without a cookie.
Technical: your IP address, briefly, to prevent abuse. We use no analytics or advertising cookies and no tracking.
In your account: your sign-ins (time) and a strictly necessary session cookie, valid for 30 days or until you sign out. Also which services you have unlocked.
Purposes and legal basis
Pre-analysis, full analysis, rebuild, hosting and sharing: to provide the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Confirming your address, limits and abuse protection: our legitimate interest in a secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Active Pitches: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in your account (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Zenpitch is separate from Shio Ventures as an investor. Your deck is not used for investment decisions by Shio Ventures and is not passed to its deal pipeline.
Who else processes the data
Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting, storage (Western Europe region), email delivery and opening deck links in a browser, as a processor.
Anthropic PBC (USA): analysing your deck and rebuilding it in the studio with a language model, as a processor. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, API content is not used to train models.
Transfers to the USA rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) in the data processing agreements, and for Cloudflare also on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR).
During the launch phase all services are free and we process no payment data. Once payments are introduced, Stripe will be added as payment provider; only Stripe ever receives card details, never us.
We serve fonts and every part of our pages ourselves, without Google Fonts or other third parties. A deck that a founder built and uploaded may load fonts, images or videos from third parties when opened (such as Google Fonts, YouTube or a CDN), as the founder built it.
How long we keep data
Without an account: deck and analysis for 90 days after the pre-analysis, then we delete them automatically.
Unconfirmed submissions after 7 days, unreadable decks after 30 days.
With an account: until you delete it. After 24 months without signing in we remind you and then delete it.
Email gate codes are valid for 15 minutes. Invoices are kept as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to hallo@zenpitch.ai.
You can lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The authority competent for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
